Airplane Interiors
 A manufacturer of airplane interiors had been using strip heaters in their presses to form plastic parts. After consult ting with engineering at ASA, it was decided to change to large aluminum platens drilled for cartridge heaters. Also, a multi-zone Anafaze control panel was selected to maintain selected temperature. This resulted in closer temperature tolerances and better formed parts with less scrap.ASA has won the loyalty of many customers through service. Recently an engineer bought components for a small heater system through a catalog house. He assembled the parts and was disappointed with the poor results. He called the supplier, only to learn that they had no one to come to his facility to help him. He then called ASA and we came to the rescue. The controllers were incorrectly programmed the heaters were improperly designed and the power devices were a poor choice for the application. We were able to make adjustments and some corrections, well enough to get through a critical test. The customer ordered a small panel and the proper heaters from us and knows that he will get full attentive assistance.
